Mega Murrini

Mein bisher dickstes Murrini-Cane. Naja …. kurz bevor es zum Cane wurde. Und ich wollte mal versuchen, ob das funktioniert …. sich selbst beim Perlen zu fotografieren. Ich finde, das geht ganz gut - obwohl freihändig und mit super Zoom - ganz scharf geworden …. da kommen einem die ruhigen Hände vom Perlen zugute.

My thickest Murrini Cane till today …. well just before it became a cane.  And I wanted to try doing some photographies while sitting at the torch. I think it did work quite well although I had to use the camera freehand and with super zoom - the picture is quite sharp …. perhaps I benefit from the steady hands that I need for my beads.

Bei der Fotografie sieht man mal toll, wie schön das DH-Glass in grün- und blau-Tönen gänzt.

I think this photography shows perfectly how nice the DH-glass shimmers in blue and green.

Jugendstil | Art Nouveau

Ich liebe die Epoche des Jugendstils. Dezente Töne und trotzdem farbig. Weiche, geschwungene Linien, symmetrisch angeordnete Formen, florale Elemente. Das Weibliche, das Warme und das Verspielte. Genau meins!

I love the epoch of Art Nouveau. Subtle but colorful. Soft, flowing lines, symmetrically ordered forms, floral elements. The feminine, the soft and the playfulness. Exactly my taste!

Arabian Spirit

Nachdem mir gestern ein sehr Große nach viel Arbeit noch in der Flamme geplatzt ist …. ich hätte halt doch rechtzeitig aufhören sollen und nicht unten rum auch noch Gold verzieren sollen …. hab ich danach nur noch “Belohnungs-Blümchen-Perlen” gemacht.

Since a very big bead broke after a long time work yesterday …. I should have stopped earlier and not do all those gold ornaments ….. I did only my “After-Each-Torch-Session-Flower-Reward-Beads”.

Nix nix nix

Gestern. Mein “freier” Nachmittag. Kleine Tochter, Joa, in Spielgruppe. Schon einen Tag zuvor freue ich mich darauf, mal länger als nur eineinhalb Stunden an den Brenner sitzen zu können.

Aber was geschah? Zwei Focal-Perlen. An einer saß ich eineinhalb Stunden (!) ….. heute Morgen hole ich sie aus dem Ofen ….. :-(   

Große Enttäuschung.

Nix, nix und nochmals nix. Die Farbkombis, die ich mir sooo toll vorstellte, sehen einfach furchtbar aus! Erkaltet und miteinander vermischt kamen sie gaaanz anders raus und es reagierten Farben miteinander, von denen man das nicht dachte. 

So stellte ich fest, dass ein bestimmtes Senfgelb überhaupt kein transparentes Bernstein auf sich drauf mag (es wird silber) und ein bestimmtes beige viel viel dunkler wird, so dass es sich vom schilfgrün nimmer abhebt  …. ts ts ts ….. Auch da heißt es üben, üben, üben. Nur die “Blümchen-Belohnungs-Perle-Am-Ende-Einer-Perlensession” ist was geworden.

Wie schön, dass Joa zweimal wöchentlich zur Spielgruppe darf

Yesterday afternoon. Half a holiday. Little daughter, Joa, in play group. Already one day earlier I am so much looking forward to having more than only one and a half hour (afternoon nap of Joa) time at the torch.

But guess what happend? I made two focals. One took one and a half hours (!) ….. this morning the came out of the kiln ….

Big disappointment!

Zip. Nada. Nothing. The color combinations that I thought might be fantastic came out horrible! When cold and mixed with the other colors the appeared completely different and some colors reacted together which I did not thought of.

I discoverd that senape yellow does not like transparent amber - both togehter become silver. And a certain beige gets much much darker in the fire so that reed green does not give any contrast at all ….. PPP! I know! Only my “Reward-After-Each-Torch-Session-Flower-Bead” came out quite nice.

How nice that Joa is allowed to go twice a week to her play group

Vorfreude | Anticipation

Gestern Abend war Yoga-Kurs. Ja, ja - ich bin nun endlich doch mit dabei - soviel begeisterte Mädels können sich nicht täuschen dachte ich  …. Also verbiege ich mich nun Mittwoch abends in einen Hund, eine Kobra, eine Krähe oder einen Krieger. Heute Morgen merke ich , wo ich überall so Muskeln habe …. *autsch*. Meine Kursleiterin meinte, wenn man ne Weile intensiv dabei bliebe, könne man die einzelnen Übungen richtig genießen. Na dann! 

Wahrscheinlich hab ich deshalb nachmittags ein paar Mandalas im Feuer entstehen lassen. Ok. Sie sind noch immer verbesserungsfähig. Aber die Messlatte (hehe für mich heißt sie Franziska alias “Kreasiska” und Eric Rader) hängt auch verdammt hoch.

Yesterday evening was my Yoga class. Yep - I am finally also caught by the new trend - so many guys cannot be wrong …. So, every Wednesday evening I bend myself in a dog, a cobra, a crow or a warrior. Today I feel all my hidden muscles…. “outsch”. My teacher told me that I have to practice for a while and will then really enjoy the exercises. Will see!

Probably I did these mandalas in anticipation to the Yoga class ;-). Ok. They are still improveable. But the bar is set very high (I just say Franziska alias “Kreasiska” and Eric Rader).

Wie gewonnen so zerronnen …. nach dem Fotografieren auf den Fliesenboden gefallen - die Große, aus der ich mir selbst eine Kette basteln wollte, ist hinüber. Über eine Stunde Arbeit ! *schnief*

Easy come, easy go :-(  …. after photographing they fell on the tiles - the big one broke. More than one hour work!!!  I wanted to make a necklace for myself with this one *sniff*.

Zuerst war ich ein wenig enttäuscht, als ich sie aus dem Ofen holte. Das grün hatte ich mir eigentlich mehr wie grün und nicht wie oliv vorgestellt. Und eigentlich sollte das gelb viel kräfter sein. Nach einer Weile jedoch fand ich sie gar nicht mehr so ohne ….. gedeckte Farben. Wie die Heidelandschaft bei uns hier um die Ecke.

At first I was disappointed when I took those out of the kiln. I thought the green would be more like green and not olive and I wanted the yellow more intense. However, after a while I did not find them too bad and could even enjoy them ….. subdued colors Like the moorlands here around the corner.

Herbstlaub | Autumn Leaves

Bunte, gold-schimmernde Blätter vor klarem Herbsthimmel. Vom Wind in die Pfützen auf der Straße gewirbelt.

Manchmal bin ich überrascht, wenn ich Perlen aus dem Ofen hole. Farben kommen ganz anders heraus, als ich mir das eigentlich vorgestellt und gewünscht habe. Hehe - leider ist es selten so, dass sie schöner raus kommen - nein, nein - meist bin ich enttäuscht.

Hier sind die Blümchen sehr blass geworden. Ich bin immer noch am Rumprobieren, wie ich kräftige lila-farbene Blümchen bekommen. Sogar mit opal-lila und sehr dunklem transparent-lila drauf werden sie mir immer viiiel zu hell. - - - Vorschläge sind herzlich willkommen *gg*

Sometimes I am surprised when I take the beads out of the kiln. Colors appear completely different than I whished and thought they might be. Hihi - unfortunately it is seldom that the colors are even more beautiful than in my imagination - no, no - most times I am disappointed.

Here, the flowers came out very pale. I am still experimenting how to achieve a  strong violet for flowers. (BTW: did you know that for the German word “kräftig” which I translated now with “strong” the dictionary offers 25 ! translations?) Even with opal violet covered with very dark transparent violet the little flowers are much zu pale. Suggestions are highliy appreciated *smile*
